Course fees in Ghana are frustratingly hard to compare. Some schools publish prices, many don’t. Some quote per level, others for the whole programme. A few advertise a low headline fee, then add admission and registration charges. And a one-day masterclass can cost more than a twelve-week course.
This guide gives you the real ranges, explains what should be included at each price point, and shows you how to judge whether a course is worth its fee.
The price ranges in 2026
| Type of training | Typical fee | Length |
|---|---|---|
| One-day masterclass / starter workshop | GHS 800 – 2,000 | 1 day |
| Short skill course (one platform) | GHS 1,200 – 2,000 | 1–2 weeks |
| Professional certificate (online) | GHS 2,000 – 3,000 | 6–10 weeks |
| Professional certificate (in person) | GHS 2,500 – 4,500 | 8–12 weeks |
| Multi-level institute programme | GHS 4,000 – 5,000 per level + admission | 12 weeks per level |
| Executive / business-school programme | GHS 4,000 – 6,000 | 3–10 days |
| Private one-on-one training | GHS 2,500 – 5,000 | 3–5 sessions |
| Donor-funded bootcamp | Free (competitive entry) | 13–14 weeks full time |
Two things to watch: “per level” pricing, where the advertised figure is a third of the real cost, and admission or registration fees added on top.
What should be included at each level
Under GHS 1,500 — one platform (usually Facebook and Instagram ads), a handful of sessions, materials and a certificate. Fair value if it’s genuinely practical and you leave able to run a campaign.
GHS 1,500 – 3,000 — a full multi-week programme covering several channels, recordings, a class group for questions, and ideally preparation for a recognised certification. This is the sweet spot for most people.
GHS 3,000 – 5,000 — in-person delivery, hands-on supervision, a capstone project, portfolio work, and post-course support. Institutional programmes at this level are buying you brand and structure as much as skills.
Above GHS 5,000 — expect either an executive-level programme, a recognised institution’s brand, or an extended multi-month course. Fair — but ask precisely what you get for the premium.
What should always be included, at any price
- Live teaching, not just recorded videos
- Practical work on real accounts, not slides only
- Course materials and recordings you keep
- A certificate on completion
- A way to ask questions during the course
- Clear information on what happens after it ends
If a course omits practical work on real accounts, be careful whatever it costs.
Hidden costs to ask about
- Admission or registration fees on top of tuition
- Per-level pricing for multi-level programmes
- Exam fees (note: Google, Meta and HubSpot certification exams are free)
- Materials or software you’re expected to buy
- Ad spend for practice — budget GHS 200–500 to practise on live campaigns
- A laptop, which some programmes require
How to judge value, not just price
The right question isn’t “what’s cheapest?” — it’s “what will this course let me do, and what is that worth?”
- For a business owner: if the course teaches you to run your own ads, compare the fee to what an agency charges monthly. One campaign that brings in customers usually repays the course.
- For a career changer: compare the fee to a month or two of the salary the skill unlocks. Entry-level digital marketing roles in Ghana typically start around GHS 1,500–3,000 monthly, with experienced practitioners and freelancers earning considerably more.
- For a freelancer: one or two client retainers typically cover the entire course.
Then check the fee against three things: is it practical, who teaches it, and do you finish with recognised certifications and a real project? A GHS 4,500 course of lectures is worse value than a GHS 1,500 course where you launch live campaigns.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a digital marketing course cost in Ghana?
Most range from GHS 1,200 for a short single-platform course to GHS 4,500 for a full in-person professional certificate. Multi-level institute programmes can total more once each level and admission fees are added.
Is there a 3-month digital marketing course in Ghana?
Yes — 12-week programmes are the most common format for a complete certificate, including GIET’s Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing.
Can I pay in instalments?
At GIET, yes: 50% to enrol and the balance by mid-course. Many institutions offer some form of instalment plan — always ask.
Are free digital marketing courses worth taking?
Free resources like Meta Blueprint and Google Skillshop are genuinely good for fundamentals. What they can’t give you is someone checking your specific setup and correcting your mistakes — which is what paid training buys.
Is online cheaper than in person?
Usually, because it doesn’t use classroom capacity. At GIET online is GHS 500–700 less, and online students get the same live classes, recordings and certificates.
